Dear friends, dear guests,

It is with great pleasure that the organizing committee welcomes you to Monastir to participate in the 12th Neurology Day organized by the Neurology Department of CHU Monastir under the auspices of the Tunisian Association for the Study and Research on Trace Elements.

We have chosen, this year, 2 themes: "Epilepsy and ischemic strokes."

Four conferences were proposed regarding epilepsy, three on ischemic strokes, and two symposiums on inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude and that of the organizing committee to our guests. Professor Arnaud Biraben, head of the epilepsy unit at the CHU of Rennes since 2000, former president of the French League Against Epilepsy, and author of several publications. Professor Mathieu Zuber, head of the Neurology and Neurovascular Department at the Paris Saint-Joseph Hospital, professor of Neurology at Paris Descartes University since 1995, former president of the French Neurovascular Society, and president of the College of Neurology Teachers. Finally, Professor Pierre Labauge leads the Expert Center for Multiple Sclerosis at the CHU of Montpellier, a specialist in MS and transverse myelitis.

We have planned XX posters on these themes.

Before concluding, I would like to thank the various laboratories for their financial support during this day.
